ESCADA, the fashion house that dresses powerful women including Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton and Helen Mirren, wanted to find a way to reach a new generation of women in an authentic and impactful way.
So I created the Experience Exchange. A digital platform where women could share their collective power. Where they could give advice from their lived experiences and diverse stories. Because for too long, women have been pitted against each other. With The Experience Exchange we wanted to show that when we share our stories, struggles and strength, we can all rise. We can change what a powerful woman looks like.
We sourced questions from real women facing workplace challenges then staffed the Experience Exchange with incredible women, including some personal heroes. I met Cindy Gallop and have tried to harness her power since. I learnt how to negotiate pay from Otegha Uwagba. Deborah Francis White taught me how to appear more confident, tennis player Andrea Petkovic spoke about stress. I learnt about being in a male dominated environment from author & engineer Yassmin Abdel-Magied and Lily Cole shed some light on being a working mum.
All-in-all a very good shoot.
