Fed up with how women were portrayed in music films, I decided to write my own.
Cassette. CD. MP3. is a story of confidence, female friendship and music obsession told over twenty years in which the industry changed forever.
With this screenplay I wanted to show how a passion for music can shape a life. I wanted to capture a unique moment in music history. Most importantly, I wanted to change how women are portrayed regarding music and the music business. By showing the blockers a woman faces as she grows from fan, to participant, to creator, I want girls and women to see they belong on stage too.
Here are the first two pages, I'm always looking for feedback so get in touch if you'd like to read more.
